This outsourcing, while promising to the developing country, affects the American workplace negatively as production jobs are shipped overseas due to the lower standards of living and reduced pay required by new employees.

Large companies are almost forced to outsource to compete with the companies that already have and this eliminates jobs state side. Globalization is beneficial for the companies due to the increased profit, but is part of the increasing unemployment in the United States.

Training employees has also required significant changes as the diversity in the work force is increased. To protect new employees from discrimination, many companies have implemented training for existing employees to teach them to tolerate the different cultures being introduced.

This new training regimen has caused current employees to become irritated if they prefer to work in a less diverse work force.

Long term employees are forced to deal with changes that have been put in effect solely to address the needs of making the new employees comfortable. The new training and policies that are put into effect to try to make new employees more comfortable often have the opposite effect on the current employees.

This can cause more tenured employees to disregard the training and make the workplace uneasy since there is an intolerance of the new diverse employees. Globalization has a positive effect on the standards that companies are forced to uphold.
